Minnesota Vikings
“The Viking’s Ultimate Community-Based Sports Medicine Center and Museum”
Crawford Architects was challenged to create a facility that reflects the ongoing business relationship between the NFL Minnesota Vikings, Twin Cities Orthopedics, the team’s official orthopedic provider, and the community and demonstrates TCO’s commitment to healing.
The Twin City Orthopedics and the Minnesota Vikings joint venture two-story project combines a hall of fame on the lower level and a sports medicine clinic that is located on the upper level in an approximately 60,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility.
The TCO/Sports Haus provides training assistance for a multitude of sports. From gridiron and basketball to ice hockey, dance, golf, tennis, and sports, the staff can record an athlete’s metrics to help enhance their performance and hone their skills through strategic therapy. The facility provides sports performance training for a wide range of clients, from youth sports to professional Vikings players, and provides the necessary secured separation to allow simultaneous use. The hall of fame offers an opportunity for both fans and long-time fanatics to revel in the history and glory of the Vikings’ franchise. Rooftop terrace space over the team store provides breathtaking vistas not only of the adjacent Game Day Plaza but also of the twin lakes and adjacent future development.
